Refined Thermo-wood Cladding

Refined Thermo-wood Cladding

Our Thermal Timber is crafted from structurally modified spruce and pine. Through a precision-controlled process at elevated temperatures (≈160–220°C) in an oxygen-limited environment, the wood undergoes a fundamental transformation. This thermal modification drastically reduces hygroscopicity, stabilizes geometric integrity, and significantly enhances resistance to biological decay and thermal fluctuations. The result is a material with a consistent, warm, and profound tonality throughout its entire cross-section, ensuring predictable performance over its lifetime.

Before the final refinement and pigmentation, each surface is prepared to align with specific project visions and desired visual impacts.

Three signature surface finishes are available:

  • Fine-Sawn: For a pronounced, raw, and organic texture.

  • Planed: For a sleek, seamless, and minimalist aesthetic.

  • Kuno-Planed: For a bespoke, embossed surface with a bold, rhythmic character.

To further elevate the material, it can be treated with premium oils or high-performance water-based pigments. These finishes amplify the wood’s natural depth and provide an elite protective barrier against environmental stressors while offering endless design possibilities.

The final product is a superior, visually enduring, and technically stable architectural material, perfectly suited for ventilated facades and refined interior concepts. Our Thermal Cladding is defined by its elegant tonality, a graceful, controlled aging process, and uncompromising long-term reliability.
