Painted Decorative Thermo-wood Cladding: Spruce/Pine

Our Thermo-wood cladding consists of thermally modified spruce and pine boards. During the modification process, the wood is structurally transformed under high temperatures (160–220°C) in a controlled, low-oxygen environment. This thermal treatment reduces the wood’s hygroscopicity, stabilizes its geometry, and significantly enhances its resistance to biological factors and temperature fluctuations. As a result, the material acquires a uniform, warm, and deep tonality throughout its cross-section, ensuring predictable performance during its lifespan.

Prior to further finishing and painting, the surface is prepared according to the project requirements and the desired visual effect.

Three primary surface finishes are available:

• Fine-sawn surface: For a more pronounced, natural texture.

• Planed surface: For a smooth, uniform aesthetic.

• Kuno planing: For a structured, embossed surface with a bold character.

Additionally, the boards can be treated with high-quality oils or water-based paints. These finishes enhance the natural tones of the wood and provide extra protection against environmental elements while expanding the possibilities for design solutions.

The result is a high-end, visually enduring, and technically stable cladding material, suitable for both ventilated facades and interior solutions. Thermo-wood stands out with its elegant tonality, controlled aesthetic aging process, and high long-term operational reliability.
